New Examination pattern of Maths Exams
CBSE has assigned 20 marks for internal assessment and 80 marks for theory paper . Internal assessment consists of the following
continous assessment
5 marks
project work
5 marks
activities assessment
10 marks
It will benifit the students to a large extend as it will reduce final exam pressure. In our opinion it will benifit average and weak students the best as their grades will certainly improve.

[I fully agree with you that this rule will benefit the weak and average students as it will help weak students to pass and average students to get better marks as most of the schools will give marks to make their results better.

Working as the CBSE maths tutor for http://glad2teach.com/ I can tell you its a welcome relief for the students. This has managed to reduce the fear of failure and thus make the student feel comfortable in the exam hall.

I completely disagree with your new marking scheme for class 10.it has created confusion among students regarding question patterns and practicals. i want this scheme to be withdrawn by next year.

Dear ITI Das. There is no confusion, clearly 20 marks are alloted for internal assesment. These marks can be given by schools as desired. If you have any confusion fill contact form at www.cbsemath.com/contactus.htm

sir, i am a student of class 10. we face a difficulty firstly ,from tha cbse side. we still did not get our social and hindi textbooks.there are no stocks available. secondly, there are no sample papers availabla too . already last year you have changed the pattern and we were the first one to face it. this was a reason why we faired a bit less in our anuals. now our school is considering athe average of the 9th anual marks out of 5 marks.i suggest that at least do not add our 9th anual marks for the 5 marks assesment out of the 20 marks. it is a request from all the students.
thank you.

My son passed out with CGPA 10; Obviously we were interested in knowing his actual marks which is next to impossible. For whatever reason it is implemented, I see no harm in giving the marks for the parents who are interested to know it!! The Indian education till 12th standard has been rated as one of the best in the world. Does all these changes will bring that name to an end in a decade from now? Why should we ape western systems? Today in the name of opportunity of education to all, the government has declared that the children CANNOT be failed till 8th standard - where is our education system leading upto? For children who are passed to 9th standard without properly qualifying -what future are we giving this generation? Besides this you have a quota system for SC/ST etc., Isn't the government responsible to generate good future generation that can withstand the pressure of the society? I know of many students who move out of the country for specialized studies especially in the field of research - They say that the bureaucracy in India is hampering their research and hence they move out of the country. How many Indian scientists have received nobel price in the recent past - and how many of them did their research in India?
TIME TO WAKE UP AND THINK - OTHERWISE ALL OF US WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING A GENERATION THAT WILL BE WEAK!!!
