Pre Exam Tips
Dec 14 2007
Dear students
CBSE board examinations 2007 are fast approaching. They are held in first week of march every year. All of you may have completed your syllabus by now. We bring you pre exam tips by experienced CBSE school teachers for class X in Mathematics. First let us talk about students which are a little weak in maths. These students should do some selected topics to ensure that they can clear the cbse exams.
1. Income tax - 5 marks
We should begin with one of the easiest topics income tax which has only one type of questions. The questions can be for men, women or senior citizens and we solve them according to data given in question paper.
2. Theorems - 10 marks (with two small questions)
The second topic in my opinion is theorems from the three chapters of Similar Triangles, Circles and Tangents to Circles.
3. Graph - 3 marks (from linear equations in three variables)
The third topic is graph from the chapter of linear equations in two variables in which we solve 1, 2 or 3 equtions graphically.
4. Statistics - 10 marks (inclusive of probability)
Next comes stat in which we find mean or if mean is given we find the frequency, Pie chart is drawn or we have to read it and we also need to study probability.
5. Instalments - 5 marks
The next easy topic is instalments which can be divided mainly in 2 categories (a) where instalments are monthly and we find S.I. (b)where intalments are yearly, half yearly or quarterly and we have to find C.I.
These all topics add up to 33 marks out of 80. These are life line for all below average students in maths.
