Answer 46. Step1 Find gross annual income. If monthly income is given multiply by 12 to get annual income.
Step2 Find total donation taking 100% exemption for N.D.F., P.M.R.F. etc and 50% for C.T. etc
example Rs 10000 to N.D.F. and Rs 10000 to C.T. gives total Rs 15000
Step3 Find total savings yearly
Step4 Taxable Income = gross annual income - (donations + savings) [maximum saving = Rs 1,00,000]
Step5 Find Income tax using the given table
step6 Find surcharge if taxable income exceeds Rs 10,00,000. Surcharge = 10% of I.T.
step7 Education cess = 2% of I.T.
step8 If T.D.S is given subtract it from tax inclusive of edu cess.

Question47.I made a formula for doing instalment question for finding the
principal corresponding to one month by applying Arithmetic progressionP = nb - n( n-1 ) x/2, where n is the no of instalments ,b is the balance and x the amount of
equal monthly instalment.MY query is that whether in board exam
evaluation whether any marks cut if I use this formula, by Deepa, Email renjinisom......@yahoo.com, answered on Feb 26, 2007 at 6:54 p.m. I.S.T.Answer47. This formula or the other form n/2[2×
balance
- (n - 1)Instalment] is used by many teachers for finding the
Principal. Our teachers have been doing evaluation of CBSE math papers
from many years and full credit is given for this method.
Question48. PROVE THAT A CYCLIC PARALLELOGRAM IS A RECTANGLE. by SWETHA, E mail swetha_soundararajan@yahoo.co.in,answered on Feb 27, 2007 at 8:43 p.m.Answer48. In cyclic quadrilateral ABCD, angle A + angle C = 180 (opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral) But angle A = angle C (opposite angles of a cyclic parallelogram) 2 angle A = 180 angle A = 90
quadrilateral ABCD is a rectangle
Question49. Is CBSE introducing a new math text this year (2007-2008) for 10th standard? If yes, then by when will it be available? by Mary R., E mail mathewr......@hotmail.com, answered on Feb 28, 2007 at 7:54 p.m.Answer 49. Yes,
the math text book is changing with a minor change in syllabus. The
changed NCERT text book is generally available in late April or early
May in all parts of India. Question50. Question51. Prove that if the bisector of any angle of a triangle and the
perpendicular bisector of its opposite side intersect, they will
intersect on the circumcirle ofhte
triangle.(NCERT-CIRCLES-EXERCISE-9.3\Q
.33), by shashank kumar, Email shashankparew.....@sify.com,and many more students have asked this question during last few days. answered on March 3, 2007 at 12:49 a.m.Answer51. Part 1 Let perpendicular bisector of side BC of triangle ABC intersect the circumcircle of triangle ABC at E and BC at D.Join AE, BD and CD. Because E lies on perpendicular bisector of BC, therefore EB = EC.So arc BE = arc EC. this gives angle BAE = angle CAE. Part 2 Let
bisector of angle A intersect the circumcircle of triangle ABC at E.
From E draw perpendicular to BC intersecting it at D. D lies on
bisector of angle BAC, so arc
BE = arc EC or BE = DE. Now in isosceles triangle EBC, ED is altitude
to BC, therefore it is also median. So BD = CD. So ED is perpendicular
bisector of BCThis proves perpendicular bisector of a side and bisector of opposite angle of a triangle intersect on the circumcircleFrom here we begin answers for CBSE session 2007 - 08
